Privacy Notice

Draft, needs legal review. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not final. Placeholders in [brackets] are still to be filled in. Version 2026-10-20 (draft).

[Operator name, address] (“we”) runs clips and decides how the personal data below is used. This notice says what we collect, why, who else handles it and what you can ask of us. It is part of what you accept when you sign in (see the Terms).

What we collect

  • Your wallet address and the messages you sign to sign in or create an API key (kept as the record that you accepted the terms).
  • Connected social accounts (through Phyllo, when you connect them): username, follower and post counts, your posts in the campaign period with their numbers (views, likes, comments, shares, saves), and for Instagram, YouTube and TikTok the share of your audience by country.
  • Posts you submit: the link, the caption and a few frames of the video or its cover image, for the brief check.
  • Verification as one person (through Self, if you choose it): only the result and a number derived from your document that tells us whether it was used before. We never receive your name, photo or document details.
  • Your email address, only if you add one for notifications; you can remove it on your dashboard at any time.
  • Your notifications (accepted, rejected, paid, clawed back) and any appeal note you write, which the campaign’s funder sees.
  • Brands: the campaign details and files you upload, API keys (we keep only a hash), and webhook addresses.
  • Technical data: your IP address, held briefly in memory for rate limiting, and a sign-in cookie. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

What is public

Payments run on Solana, a public blockchain: your wallet address, every payout, clawback and bond, and a fingerprint of each paid post are visible to anyone and cannot be deleted by us or anyone else. Campaign pages show the links of counted clips, their views and the shortened wallet address that earned them.

Why we use it

  • To run the service you asked for: match your posts to campaigns, count views and pay you (performing our contract with you).
  • To stop fraud (bought views, several identities) and protect brands’ budgets (our legitimate interest, and the contract).
  • To send the notifications you asked for, by email only if you added and confirmed an address.
  • [Any legal obligations, e.g. tax or sanctions screening, to be confirmed.]

Who else handles it

  • Phyllo: connects your social accounts and reads their data for us.
  • Anthropic: checks a post against the brief (frames and caption are sent to its Claude model).
  • SandBase: estimates fake views of public TikTok videos.
  • Self: verifies you are one person, on your phone.
  • Resend: sends notification emails, only if you added an address.
  • Railway: hosts the service and its database.
  • Solana RPC providers and Reown (WalletConnect): connect your wallet and send transactions.

Some of them are outside your country, including in the United States. [Transfer safeguards to be stated.]

How long we keep it

[Retention periods to be decided.] What is on the blockchain stays there.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to its use, and complain to a data protection authority. We cannot delete what is on the blockchain. Write to [contact address].

Changes

A new version is published here and named in the message you sign at your next sign-in.

clipsBrands pay per view. Clippers get paid in USDC the moment views count. Every payout runs through a public program on Solana.
